It is unbelievable that this Mary Magdalene didn’t recognize Jesus. After everything Jesus did for her? First she didn’t recognize him and than she though that he is the gardener. Together they experienced a lot. She walked and ate with him. Jesus even casted out seven demons of Mary Magdalene.

Recently I was on a youth camp and in one of the workshops I talked about the history and beliefs of the Church of the Nazarene. I was talking about how the church evolved out of several holiness movements within the United States and how these movements where mainly serving to drug and alcohol addicts.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Paul writes the following verses in his letter to the Thessalonians after he was unexpectedly overthrown by the Messiah himself on his way to Damascus. In chapter 5 we read: “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”

Isn’t that great? We may be filled with hope, love, and peace! And you what is even greater? We can share this with others. We may share with others what Jesus would like to do for them through the Spirit if we surrender to Him. We have Good News to tell and not bad news of a thief in the night that comes in the future and shoots you away.
