Zaanstad - Carrick Affiliation

At the 20th of August a group of 43 young people from the Church of the Nazarene Zaanstad will travel to Carrickfergus to assist the young people of the Nazarene Church in Carrickfergus with an open-air service, children activities, social evangelism and outreach to reach the neighborhood. The team will consist of the band of the D-Vote youth service, a dance group, a drama group, and more excited young people that want to share what God has given them – love abundantly. We will keep you posted on our progress with all the preparations. We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to what God has in store for us in the coming weeks and certainly during our stay in Northern Ireland itself. Please pray for us as we work hard to raise the money needed and pray even more for the young people of the churches in Carrickfergus and Zaanstad. The idea has emerged. The nexus is Jesus. When Dave visited us in Zaanstad last January to teach a couple of workshops he got to know our youthgroup a little better. Together we had the thought to get a group of young people from Zaanstad to go and visit the youth group in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. The intent was to get the two groups together to encourage one another, learn from one another, have a lot of fun together and organize some sort of community event. The idea kicked in with our young people and today we are in the middle of preparations to make it become reality.
