Sunday, the 16th of august, a team of 43 young people of the NYI Zaanstad left their seats to come forward to receive a blessing for the journey that is ahead of them. The team was introduced to the congregation during the Sunday morning service. After a shot summary of what their task will be pastor Ed van Hoof prayed On Thursday, the 20th of august, the team will leave from Amsterdam to fly to Belfast. For three days they will work together with the local NYI in a variety of outreaches. The joined group will organize a youth service with the d-vote band performing as well as the drama team and dance group. On Saturday the group will mostly be involved in helping others. They will go out in teams to reach out to the neighborhood by helping them in their gardens, cleaning houses, doing groceries, cleaning up playgrounds, etc. Saturday will stand under the theme ‘The Church has left the Building’. In the evening a family celebration will be organized with barbeque, live music, children activities, games, and other fun things to do. 43 young people left their seats to work together with young people from another country. The church has left the building! Please pray for us. Pray for a safe journey and pray that God will prepare our hearts for the task ahead of us. Thank you for your support! We will keep you posted.
